Oakwood Roasting

Some coffee beans are roasted using a traditional yet distinctive method known as oak wood roasting. Unlike conventional gas-powered roasting, this process utilizes seasoned oak wood as the fuel source, which imparts a unique flavor profile to the beans. The higher moisture content in oak wood creates a slower, more controlled roasting environment, preserving the natural oils in the beans. This results in a coffee that is lower in acidity, with a fuller, richer body.

When crafting a drip coffee with vibrant, balanced acidity, the roasting time is adjusted to optimize the bean's natural brightness, achieving a delicate yet flavorful cup.

The process begins with carefully selected, well-seasoned oak wood sourced from responsible suppliers. Precision roasting is ensured through advanced thermocouple data and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) motor control, allowing for adjustments that maintain consistency and quality across every batch. The wood smoke emissions are controlled through high-powered afterburners, ensuring a clean and eco-friendly process.

This harmonious blend of time-honored artisan techniques and modern technology ensures every roast delivers a premium coffee experience, rich in flavor and expertly crafted for every brewing method. This it the process used for our Guatemala Coffee

Standard Gas Roasting

Some coffee beans are roasted using a widely adopted and precise method known as gas-powered roasting. Unlike traditional wood-fired roasting, this process utilizes controlled natural gas flames to heat the roasting drum, ensuring consistent and efficient heat distribution. The precise control over temperature and airflow allows for an even roast, highlighting the beans’ intrinsic flavors without introducing external smokiness.

This method produces a clean, well-balanced cup, allowing the natural characteristics of each origin to shine. For a drip coffee with vibrant acidity and complex flavor notes, roasting times and temperature profiles are carefully adjusted to enhance brightness while preserving body and depth.

The process begins with meticulously sourced, high-quality green coffee beans. Advanced roasting technology, including thermocouple sensors and variable airflow systems, ensures optimal heat application throughout the roast, allowing for precise development of sugars and aromatic compounds. Additionally, exhaust filtration systems minimize emissions, making gas roasting an environmentally responsible choice.

By blending time-honored roasting expertise with modern precision, this process ensures consistency and quality across every batch. The result is a refined coffee experience, expertly crafted to showcase the unique attributes of each bean, whether brewed as espresso, pour-over, or any other method. This is the process used for our Guatemala Coffee. This is the process that is used for our Mexico Coffee.
